PCR Competes in the Western States Apprenticeship Competition
In January (2024) our apprentices competed in the Western States Roofing Apprenticeship Competition in Southern California. We had winners in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and some of our winners will be going on to the national competition!
Our Winners
Gunnar Waldroup, with Preferred Roof Services, took 3rd place in the advanced category.
Rafael Tellez, with Snyder Roofing, took 2nd place in the advanced category and will be moving on to nationals.
Samreth Khong, with Snyder Roofing, took 1st place in the intermediate category and will be moving on to nationals.
The national competition will be May 7-9, 2024, taking place at Local 2 St. Louis Training Center in Maryland Heights, MO. The 3-day event will pit the winners of the 2023 regional competitions, Northeast, Midwest and Western states, against each other. They will be competing for cash prizes and the ultimate title of the country’s best apprentice!
